{"id":135,"date":"2025-01-07T07:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-01-07T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.slhl.church\/?p=135"},"modified":"2025-01-08T18:15:12","modified_gmt":"2025-01-08T23:15:12","slug":"lcmc-three-days-of-prayer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.slhl.church\/?p=135","title":{"rendered":"LCMC Three Days of Prayer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ LCMC&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Martin Luther said in his book,&nbsp;<em>A Simple Way to Pray<\/em>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe must see to it that we do not lose the habit of prayer and deceive ourselves into thinking that other kinds of things are more important, when they are not.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I would like to invite our over 1,000 congregations in 18 countries around the globe to join us for LCMC\u2019s annual&nbsp;<strong>Three Days of Prayer<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>January 7-9, 2025<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we gather together as one association on those days let us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pray for our families.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pray for our churches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pray for our leaders and members.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pray for those who do not yet know Jesus as Savior and Lord.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Our Congregations and Leaders\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Lord, we pray that You bless our congregations and leaders<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>with Your favor and with Your provision and power to carry<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>out the ministry and mission You have in store for us. In Jesus\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>name, we pray. Amen.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>    2. <em>For those who do not yet know Jesus as Savior and Lord\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Lord, give us Your heart for those who don\u2019t yet know you as<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Savior and Lord, and for the prodigals. Create in us a boldness<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>to love them and serve them and to share our God-stories with<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>them as opportunities arise. Open our eyes to be aware of<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>everyday encounters in which we can minister Your love and<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Your power to those in need. In Jesus\u2019 name we pray. Amen.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>    3. <em>For our international partners\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Thank You, Lord, that You have bound us together with these<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>sister churches and leaders and partner networks. We pray<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>that You will give them protection and provision. We pray that<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>You will show us how we can come alongside them, encourage<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>them, and serve with them. Lord, grant our brothers and sisters<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Your favor in their cities, communities, and countries. We pray<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>this in Jesus\u2019 name.
